THREADS DOWNLOADER

Threads downloader — save posts, videos, and images

Copy threads link from Share or the address bar, then paste a public threads.com or threads.net post URL. SMDownloader previews video or image media before you save.

Paste a link

Already have a public Threads URL? Paste it on the homepage to preview and save.

Supported link formats

  • https://www.threads.net/@username/post/POST_ID

Tracking parameters like ?xmt=... are fine — we strip them automatically.

What to expect

Threads does not always offer a native save on desktop. Copy the post URL — our web and mobile copy-link guides show where Share → Copy link lives — paste here, and save attachments to your downloads folder or camera roll.

Media types we handle on Threads: Posts, Videos.

Limits

What links will not work

  • Bypass private accounts, close-friends stories, or login-only posts.
  • Bulk-scrape entire profiles, hashtags, or channels automatically.
  • Promise universal no-watermark, 4K, or DRM-free output when the source does not expose it.

Common questions

threads.com vs threads.net?

Both hostnames work for the same public posts. Copy whichever threads.net or threads.com URL your browser or share sheet provides — tracking query params are stripped automatically.

How do I copy a Threads link on mobile or web?

On phone: open the post, tap Share → Copy link. On desktop: copy the address bar on threads.com or threads.net. Our mobile and web guides walk through each step before you paste the URL here.

Can I save a video and image from one post?

If the post has multiple attachments, the preview lists each file. Save the ones you need individually.

Do I need a Threads login to download?

No account on SMDownloader — but the post must be public. If you must sign in to view it in a browser, our servers cannot fetch the media either.

Looking for a Bluesky (bsky) downloader instead?

For bsky.app posts (not profile URLs), use the Bluesky downloader hub — same paste-and-preview flow, different hostname and format tools.

Why won't my Threads URL download?

Common causes: private or deleted posts, text-only threads, or an incomplete URL. Confirm the post opens in an incognito window, paste the full Share → Copy link URL, then retry once.

Threads sets its own rules for sharing and reuse. See Threads help center. SMDownloader is not affiliated with Threads.
