SMDownloader does not host, store, archive, publish, or redistribute third-party media. The service performs temporary, user-directed processing only for the purpose of responding to the user's request.
Because we do not host or store copies of third-party media, we respond to notices by investigating abuse, blocking URLs or domains where appropriate, and restricting support for platforms or patterns linked to repeated infringement.
Reporting infringement
If you believe content accessible through SMDownloader infringes your copyright, send a notice to copyright@smdownloader.com. We review good-faith reports and aim to respond within 5–10 business days.
What a valid notice should include
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
- Identification of the material you claim is infringing, with enough detail for us to locate it (e.g. example URLs, platform, or usage pattern).
- Your contact information: name, mailing address, telephone, and email.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
Repeat infringers & abuse
We may block IP addresses, URL patterns, domains, or entire platforms when we identify repeat infringement or abuse. Users who repeatedly submit infringing URLs may lose access to the service. Report abuse at abuse@smdownloader.com.
Platform or URL blocking
Valid copyright notices may result in disabling support for specific URLs, domains, or platforms. This does not mean we previously stored the referenced media — only that we will stop facilitating access through SMDownloader for the identified scope.
Counter-notices
If you believe a block was made in error, contact copyright@smdownloader.com with sufficient detail for us to review your request.
