How to copy a Bluesky link on mobile — step by step

    Open the public Bluesky post

    In the Bluesky app on iPhone or Android, open the public post you want to save. Private or restricted posts will not work in SMDownloader.

    Tap Share on the post

    Tap the share icon below the post. This opens the share sheet where Copy link appears on most devices.

    Tap Copy link

    Choose Copy link (sometimes labeled Copy or Copy URL). Bluesky copies a public bsky.app post URL — e.g. bsky.app/profile/handle.bsky.social/post/POST_ID. Paste it as-is.

    Paste on www.smdownloader.com

    Switch to Safari or Chrome, open www.smdownloader.com, paste into the URL field, and tap Download. Preview the video or image, then save it to your device.

To save one attachment, paste a bsky.app URL with /post/ in the path. Profile-only links (bsky.app/profile/HANDLE) are not supported on the paste field — open the specific post first, then use Share → Copy link.

When copy fails

On iPhone, scroll the share row and tap More if Copy link is hidden. On Android, try the three-dot menu → Link. If Copy link is still missing, share the post to your browser and copy the address bar URL once the bsky.app post page loads.

Can I copy a link from a private Bluesky account?

No. The post must be public. If you need to log in to view it, Share → Copy link will not produce a URL www.smdownloader.com can fetch.
