Common causes: download disabled by the uploader, rights-managed releases, private or removed tracks, or an incomplete URL. Open the link in an incognito window — if it won't play publicly, /api/extract cannot fetch it either.
Can I paste a playlist URL on the track downloader?
Playlist /sets/ URLs work better on the SoundCloud Playlist Downloader, which lists each track in the set. Single-track URLs belong on this page.
