How to copy a YouTube Short link on mobile — step by step

    Open the YouTube app

    Launch YouTube on your iPhone or Android device and open the public Short you want to save — not a channel, playlist, or search page.

    Tap Share on the Short

    On the Short, tap Share below the video. This opens the system share sheet with a link to copy.

    Choose Copy link

    Select Copy link from the share options. On some devices this appears as Copy or Copy URL. youtu.be short links and youtube.com/shorts/… URLs both work.

    Paste on www.smdownloader.com

    Switch to your mobile browser, open www.smdownloader.com, paste the copied URL into the download field, and tap Download. Preview the result before you save — YouTube support is Beta.

    If Copy link is unavailable, share the Short to your mobile browser (Chrome or Safari), then copy the URL from the address bar once the youtube.com page loads.
