How to copy a Xiaohongshu link on mobile — step by step

    Open the public note in Xiaohongshu (RedNote)

    Open the Xiaohongshu or RedNote mobile app on iPhone or Android and tap the public video or photo note you want to save.

    Tap the Share arrow in the top-right corner of an image note or on the right side of a full-screen video note.

    Select Copy link in the bottom share sheet to copy the xhslink.com shortlink and note caption to your clipboard.

    Paste on www.smdownloader.com

    Open www.smdownloader.com in your mobile browser, paste the clipboard text (surrounding Chinese title text is stripped automatically), and tap Download.

Automatic stripping of Chinese share text

When you tap Copy link in Xiaohongshu, the clipboard often contains promotional text and the post title wrapped around the xhslink.com/a/... address. You can paste that raw clipboard text straight into SMDownloader without editing it first.

Do I need to delete the Chinese text around an xhslink.com URL?

No. The Xiaohongshu app copies a full sentence containing the note title and an http://xhslink.com/a/… URL. Paste the entire clipboard string into SMDownloader and our parser extracts the link automatically.
