Copy an Instagram reel or post link.
Works for reels, feed videos, and image posts from public accounts.

Open the reel or post
View the public reel, feed post, or story you want to save. Stories disappear after 24 hours — copy the link while it is still live.

Tap the share icon
On mobile, tap the paper plane under the post. On desktop web, click the share arrow below the media.

Choose Copy link
Select Copy link from the menu. The clipboard should hold an instagram.com/reel/… or instagram.com/p/… URL.

Paste into SMDownloader
Open smdownloader.com, paste the URL, and click Extract. You get a preview before the file saves to your device.

On instagram.com in a browser, open the post in its own tab and copy the full address bar URL. You do not need the mobile app if the post is public.
