Copy a SoundCloud track or playlist link.

Use the browser bar or Share → Copy link — on.soundcloud.com short URLs are fine.

    Open the track or playlist

    Go to soundcloud.com (or the SoundCloud app) and open a public track or playlist you want to save. Private or invite-only sets will not work.

    Copy the page URL

    On desktop, copy the full address bar URL. On mobile, tap Share under the track or playlist, then Copy link.

    Check the link shape

    Single tracks look like soundcloud.com/artist/track-name. Playlists use soundcloud.com/artist/sets/playlist-name. Short on.soundcloud.com links also work.

    Paste into SMDownloader

    Open SMDownloader, paste the URL, and click Extract. For playlists, each track appears in the preview — download individually or as a zip.

When a track won't download

Some label releases are DRM-protected or stream-only even when they play in your browser. User-uploaded public tracks work best. Open the link in a private window — if it won't play without logging in, SMDownloader cannot fetch it.
