Facebook Stories and which links work

Facebook Stories auto-delete after 24 hours. Copy Share → Copy link while the story is still visible. Our parser accepts facebook.com/watch, fb.watch, facebook.com/reel/, and Page post URLs — not facebook.com/stories/ share paths today. If preview fails, open the Story guide on our Video or Reels downloader with whichever URL Share actually copied.

How to save a Facebook Story (when the URL works)

    Copy while live

    Open the public story, tap Share → Copy link before the 24-hour timer ends. Note whether the copied URL contains /stories/, /reel/, fb.watch, or watch/?v=.

    Pick the right tool

    fb.watch and watch/?v= links → Facebook Video Downloader. facebook.com/reel/ → Reels Downloader. /stories/ links show a clear unsupported message here — try Video or Reels when Share provides those formats.

    Preview and save

    Click Download, check the preview matches the story media, then save immediately. Do not wait if the story is near expiry.

Expired stories cannot be downloaded retroactively. If /stories/ preview fails, retry with the Video or Reels downloader when Share provides fb.watch or /reel/ URLs instead.
